Online giving is quick and easy — but it's not the only way to support JRLC. However you choose to give, your gift fuels our interfaith advocacy for human dignity, family wellbeing, and public life at the Minnesota Capitol.
Gifts are received by the Joint Religious Education and Research Fund (JRERF), JRLC's 501(c)(3) charitable arm (EIN 41-1455764), and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. As always, we encourage you to consult your tax or financial advisor about your specific situation.
If you give through a donor-advised fund (DAF) — for example at Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, or a community foundation — recommending a grant to JRLC takes just a few minutes through your fund's online portal. Direct your grant to:
Joint Religious Education and Research Fund (JRERF)
EIN: 41-1455764
PO Box 4233, Saint Paul, MN 55104
If your DAF sponsor needs any additional information, contact us at [email protected] and we'll provide it.
Giving appreciated stock, bonds, or mutual funds you've held for more than a year can be a tax-smart way to give: you may be able to deduct the full market value of the gift and avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation.

If you're 70½ or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to JRERF. The gift can count toward your required minimum distribution and is generally excluded from your taxable income.
Just ask your IRA administrator to send the distribution to:
Joint Religious Education and Research Fund (JRERF)
EIN: 41-1455764
PO Box 4233, Saint Paul, MN 55104
Please ask them to include your name with the distribution so we can acknowledge your gift.
You can sustain JRLC's work for years to come by including us in your will or trust, or by naming JRERF as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, or donor-advised fund. Sample bequest language to share with your attorney:
"I give [% of my estate / $ / the residue of my estate] to the Joint Religious Education and Research Fund, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation located in Saint Paul, Minnesota (EIN 41-1455764), for its general charitable purposes."
If you've already included JRLC in your estate plans, please let us know — we'd love to thank you. Questions about legacy giving? Contact [email protected] or Melissa DeBilzan at [email protected].
