QUICK HIT: Rochester Community Meeting on GAMC
January 25, 2010
A big thanks goes out to our District Leader Terry Schoonover for his awesome work organizing a community meeting on GAMC in Rochester. According to the Post Bulletin, about 50 people attended, including five Rochester-area legislators.
The meeting was a great success. Legislators discussed how some 35,000 Minnesotans, including 896 in Olmsted County, will lose their General Assistance Medical Care on March 1, but legislative leaders and the governor stand ready to fix the problem.
Read more about the meeting, in the Post Bulletin article that covered the event.
Be sure to join us on February 4th at the Capitol in St. Paul for a rally to save GAMC (click here for more details).
